Shanfari Trading & Furnishing Co LLC-(STFC) is a part of the Shanfari Group of companies, one of the largest of its kind in Sultanate of Oman & the Middle East. Shanfari Trading & Furnishing undertakes woodworking for the Divan of Royal court & museums throughout Oman and for the last 25 years, has also provided its services for interior design and other turnkey projects to Palaces, commercial properties, high profiled Villas and Hotels.
Mr Sulemain, General Manager at Shanfari recalls the events that led to the purchase of ArtCAM back in 1999. “We needed to purchase some 3 axis Routing software capable enough to resolve all existing & future issues concerning the generation of 3D intricate carvings & their respective toolpaths.”
Mr Sulemain had invited various software suppliers to give a presentation on their product, focusing on how the software solution would result in their intricate carvings being machined.
After watching the demonstration of ArtCAM software Mr Sulemain & the staff at Shanfari were convinced that ArtCAM Pro could solve all their existing issues concerning generation of intricate carvings & V shapes for palatial doors.
Mr Hari, in charge of the CNC department, was particularly impressed with the ease of toolpath generation for intricate 3D carvings and its short learning curve. Within one week Mr Hari’s CNC operators had learnt to generate the necessary toolpaths for complex intricate carvings & V Carvings.
More recently Shanfari have been using their ArtCAM software to program the newly acquired Twin-table Four-spindle Homag Routing machine. This takes the total number of machines to three in addition to the Reichenbacher (Twin table Four spindle) & a Fanuc based Twin Spindle Routing system being programmed on ArtCAM.
Mr Hari believes that the decision to use ArtCAM software has paid rich dividends for Shanfari considering the fact that Shanfari purchased two more Routing machines during recent years and showers his praise for the support & timely help he receives from Delcam.
